Oregon is a state, Oregonian is a state of mindOregon, pronounced or-uh-gun, became a state on Valentine’s Day in 1859. Between two grand rivers, the Pacific Ocean, and the 42nd parallel you’ll find one of the most geographically diverse states in the nation. Volcanoes, dense forest, high desert, abundant water, filberts, cherries, pears and 19 distinctive wine grape growing regions define the landscape.
Like the land, Oregon’s winemakers and grapegrowers are a little rugged, a little wild, and worth getting to know. They’re resolute but relaxed and steadfast without moving too fast. They have persisted in soils first ignored with a singular intention: to make great Oregon wine.
You see, Oregon is a state, and a damn fine one. But Oregonian is a state of mind.
