PDX Urban Wineries

Download a tour passport and collect stamps as you travel to 16 urban working wineries and tasting rooms in Portland. Highlights include Southeast Wine Collective, a unique custom production facility for 11 boutique wineries, and its on-site Oui! Wine Bar + Restaurant, which offers dozens of wines from the collective’s members. Plan to follow this trail during Oregon Wine Month in May for the PDX Urban Wine Experience. The annual event features three samples from each winery along the trail, a chance to meet the winemakers, as well as discounts on 6- and 12-bottle purchases.

Newberg Downtown Wineries

Billed as a “state of wine in just one mile,” Newberg’s easily walked downtown district packs in nine different tasting rooms. Look for frequent events, such as First Friday (held the first Friday of each month), which means extended hours at each winery and specials on wine flights. Plan to make a few bonus stops—sushi, tacos, and frozen custard are all nearby.

Pinot Bingo

Checking off boxes has rarely been this delicious. Travel between the trail’s nearly 20 wineries (all within an easy drive from Eugene and Springfield) and you get pours of not just great pinot noir but also petite sirah, viognier, and grenache, just to name a few. Playing is easy, too: Complete a bingo row on your card and you’ll net custom framed art. Fill the three center rows and take home a pinot noir glass.

Heart of Willamette Wineries

Nestled in the foothills of the Coast Range mountains, around Corvallis and Salem, this network of 15 family- owned wineries offers a tasting passport that earns you complimentary tastings at each winery. The Umpqua’s winegrowing history dates back to the 1880’s when German immigrants planted the first wine grapes in the Valley. Today, the Umpqua is home to 30 family owned and operated wineries and over 40 different wine varieties.

Hood River County Fruit Loop

With 28 producers and farm stands offering up pears, cherries, blueberries, pastries, and more, something is perpetually in season along this scenery-filled, 35-mile circuit from Hood River to Parkdale. One constant: grapes in the form of pinot noir, riesling, and chardonnay, among other varieties, from 10 wineries and tasting rooms are available year-round, along with stunning views of Mounts Hood and Adams.
